The rules say that any external device or software that gives an unfair advantage to a player is considered as a cheat, and thus will result in a ban for life.
Now, some of you may have not realised that this includes macros that can be configured with a special keyboard or a dedicated software.
Player caught with one or more macros on any BunnyTrack server will have all their times removed, or be banned at worst.
The only "macro" we tolerate is the mouse wheel, as virtually every player has at least one wheel on their mouse.

It's something that generates a sequences of key-presses for you with a single key or button.

Which in essence removes the skill from doing it urself

What about macros made in the UT console, if u can call em that? This is when u bind multiple commands to one key.

I think Medic mainly means macros for dodging/jumping/walkjumping/bouncing. An example if you press a key once your player dodges, or just hold down 1 key and it will jump/bounce automatically until you release the button.

Ye I guess what I said isn't much of a concern in BT, as you're restricted by what UT allows and the stuff Niko describes would probs need extra-UT help, like other software/hardware.
Might be more relevant for normal weps games though, if say u had a key that changed weapon to sniper and crouch, etc. Maybe CB allow that stuff, I dno.

What you are talking about are special settings that are allowed to do within the limits of the UT settings.
A macro on the otherhand is usually a programmable keyboard or mouse/gamepad. Using this to combine jump moves and dodge sequences to the advantage that instead of a 3 or 4 key sequince in the regulair UT mode, you only have to press 1 key to do that sequince. Himce an advantage or hack that other players do not have.

macros such as one button for dodge is totally lame. i don't know much about macros but i heard u get jumping ones too (so you jump ASAP off each platform) -.- very lame life ban deserved

I also have that function on my gamepad.
But never try'ed to use it in UT.
I think that there are not much people who can write the macro for UT... looks hard to me.
But it is sure worth a Ban if still using.
Are you gonna contact people first or is it directly ban.
Cause i think not all the players will have a look in the forum..
