First map that makes my PC lag (and I have a pretty top tier PC), specifically up the top of the map above the spawn point somewhat half way through the map.

as I said, i dont experience any lag on this map.
So, Pawel laptop > supa PC

Asides from that the map is really fun except for the headbump buttons which kind of ruin the flow for rushing for me, other than that super fun map.

Another amazing map by Roel, one of the best BT mappers of all time. The map has unique obstacles, an extremely creative design, no (known) bugs, and a great flow/rush element. The length is great for rushing, as is the difficulty. The obstacles are fun and fast-paced, and the environment is fun. The sounds, music, and lighting were all very good and added a lot to the overall environment. The ONLY downfall is the FPS drop when looking toward the large room due to the brushes and lighting, but this FPS drop is minimal enough to keep the gameplay alive. I give this map a 9/10 (not perfect because of the FPS issues) for quality, and a 4/10 for difficulty. Great job Roel, keep doing what you do. The BT community is lucky to have you.

Turning off dynamic lightning removes the fps lag (D3D9).

However hax not allowed on i4games ( it turns on again after few sec ).

Colourful bling bling, some minor painpoints but all in all enjoyable map.

Weird. The map just plays fine on my laptop, whereas my laptop barely plays bf3 (barely as in 20-30fps on the lowest possible resolution and settings).

My pc specs are.. intel core 2 quad q9550 with 4 gb ram and a ati 5770 gpu i can play bf3 just fine but i cant play this map? makes no sense

I played the map last night and it's definitely a cool map. I enjoyed it and also enjoy many of your maps. I don't lag and i'm using a little laptop. It's all about correct resolution and render of your computer. I'm on dxd9. You can still throw all the platforms into different zones to help reduce it I guess. You guys need to update your computers it is 2014 already!

Weird, this map is also unplayable for me just like for ActualSilver. In the past, I only had a few maps which I couldn't run and so far this is the second map already this year (Gust) which are lagging.

I don't know which rendering Actual is using, but I'm using D3D8. I'll give it a try with my first UT install (year 1998). Maybe it works there with OpenGL or D3D9.
Shame, looks like a very enjoyable map to play since it only had a "3" as rating, I should be able to capture this one Very Happy Just spectated Cartoon^ and ye, very cool map to play.

Edit: OpenGL gives me the same lag (even worse), however DXD9 works like a charm. Not a single fps drop there.

Not intended (I don't play LoL). "Lux" is just the Latin name for "light", and it is also the SI-unit for illuminance.

The map is great but its just way too laggy for my pc

I was already afraid it would lag for some people and I already tried my best to improve the performance. I don't lag anywhere except falling down with the flag. I don't think it is the skybox (it is just two brushes with a moving texture and a something that emits a single particle every 1-2 seconds). It is probably because (almost) the whole map is in one zone, and you can see the complete map from almost anywhere.

Wow another epic map from Roel's hands. Love kinda everything in this map, music, flow, obstacles, length, difficulty and lightning I admire the most.
Dont have any fps issues thanks to my laptop <3
Only part with jump->bumpbutton->land on bar is kinda hard, but it just requires some practise I guess.
It kinda reminds my BT-Velocity, hah.
Amazing job Roel!

Oh and btw Lux is a hero from League Of Legends, ROTFL.
No idea whether it is intended title for this map or not, but somehow both map and hero has something common.... *cough*

Thanks Roel Smile I only had a quick run just now to check that it had uploaded correctly to our server, but - and realising this isn't any help to those who are having frame rate issues - it ran fine for me. I got stuck at the purple cubes though! I'll figure that out when I have more time.
I really like the look and difficultly level, it's fun to play.

This map took way to long to make, but mainly because I have hardly had any time for mapping lately.

It started of with the idea of using lights as trim, and after trashing one map that did not work out I started this one.

I think the concept worked out ok, however I am not too happy with the map obstacle-wise, the end was a bit rushed because I just wanted to get this map done. Also, I am kinda out of ideas, and I have lost a bit of motivation for mapping.

One small know issue: frame drops when falling down with the flag, but I guess that is the consequence of making a one-room open-area map.

Build time: Begin to end: about 2 months, but actual working time about 1-2 weeks.
