| I feel like I am at least getting closer each map. My stuff is always going to be wierd because I am weird and my thoughts and Ideas are uncommon and strange. But....I am at least getting closer....I hope to put a rush map out soon and also maybe a long but not annoying map too .... we'll see which maps I am working on get finished first. Now with the 8-bit 22500 mono my songs should get smaller. I like to put my own music in because I make all my own tracks from scratch. But seriously I HAVE had to sit for 10 minutes downloading my own song just to get on and play (when I play on other computers) and it sucks. |

| cool, so I'm getting there. Soon maybe I'll get a map that is exactly what people will want to play.
I still don't understand why I can't vote though, I used to be able to vote on BT3 and BT1 was a challenge (I could vote successfully 1 out of 7 times) and BT2 voting was like 1 out of 20 tries. I havn't ever changed my netspeed, but once the protection went in place I would say !vote or the map would end and bring the vote screen up, and just as all the maps have been counted (totalmaps/totalmaps like 984/984). The disconnected red cat5 icon shows up on the right hand side of the screen and I'm disconnected. I can't type anything in chat and I can't vote a map. I just have to reconnect wait the 58 seconds and try again. |

| Netspeed is only blocked on BT3/4 as ''it affects times''. BT1/2 isn't a problem, on some maps (BasicGayMap for instance) roughly 70% of people need to lower their netspeed to even cap it due to bad bouncers. Maps like that can't even be rushed for those people since BT3/4 will just kick them for lowering the netspeed.
Anyway nice map. Definitely improving. |

| Well, I played it last night. I don't like the obstacles (too annoying), but I will say that the map is an improvement on previous outings. As well as what other people said, try using some more open spaces, some actual lights, decoration using brushes rather than actors...I think maybe you're getting there...
2 other things:
- I think you can still change netspeed on BT1? Mine was down at 2600 the other day (how?) with no issues
- Hellfire basically said "this map would be awesome if it was a different map" XD |

| Well, it is advisable to first change the original file to radio quality (8-bit, mono, 22050Hz), the quality will be less but usually not that bad. Then convert it to .it. |

| I am still trying to get the size of those music files reduced. Anyone know a good site for that kind of thing? Like how to ultracompress *.it files? All the songs are taken from some song off of one of my albums I made, and I would like to get them to at least half the size that they are right now. |

| Well, it looks better in the editor. I'll play it later - just one thing though - I wish you wouldn't include the massive music files in every map. Lots of people don't play with music, and it doesn't even work on my laptop... |

| k thanks...
I tried to take peoples suggestions and this was the first actual map completed after I practiced some things. I wish I had learned the basics by making tons and tons of DM/CTF/DOM/ASSAULT maps it would have been easier than coming from tombraider/q2 editing and switching to UT.
I think maybe I should have linked all the water parts to make slime all the way through. Because in the shot part you can swim to the last one and shoot to lift jump out. There should be some penalty for swimming.
Next time with a map this easy I'll skip the water and have the fall into slime that is all low damage.
edit: I tried to play this map later (after it first went up) and some people voted it but it auto switched to another map. Is it broken?
Sorry I can't vote it on bt1 bt2 or bt3 to see because my ping is too high, and every time the vote screen comes up it disconnects me and I have to reconnect and try to vote again after the timeout. (for hours at a time)
After the netspeed protector I haven't been able to vote. Although the protector was needed, I wish that it would allow higher pings more time for packet sending and receiving at the vote screen or whatever my problem is (probably I just have crappy internet). |

| The little hole seems to be wal-bugging a little, or it is just extremely hard :S. Also, I wonder why there is water at the shot-part and no killing liquid. Other than that ok map. Perhaps for next time you could use some more coloured lights to add a little contrast and add some more visible light-sources. |
