Umod files

Hi

My umod files will not auto install as they have lost the path (or something) to the file that runs and auto installs them. Which file do i need to point them to so the auto run and auto install.....I tried the unreal exe but that didnt work.

assuming you got a Windows PC you can use the command "ftype". Also assuming your unreal system folder is located at C:\UnrealTournament\System\ you can use follwing syntax @ your command prompt to add the nessesary info into the registry:

ftype Unreal.Module=C:\UnrealTournament\System\Setup.exe install "%1"
Normally you can then install the umod file by simply launching the file.

Another option is to use the umod browser: http://geeks.beyondunreal.com/ut2004/tools.php#UModBrowser

There is a programme called "UTCheck", it fixes your registration. Its a very easy to use programme, i guess you should try it.

i will try what6 you suggest.....My ut is not installed to c:\ I didnt realise that umods worked on that install path.
