hi all,

The 3d anniversary of i4games is coming up and i was wondering if there is a possibilty that players get something extra during May. I know you officialy launched jan 2003, but we passed that already Razz

.

And if you guys cant come up with something good than WE can suggest a couple of things. THATS Y I'M ASKING I4G PLAYERS TO COME UP WITH SOME IDEAS. (for ex: make room for MORE than 14 players should be fun for 1 single month; or do something for eastern like litlle bunnies jumping all over the place Razz

(something like you do for halloween or christmas))

But, because i think it's bit late to ask you to change something or do something special, you can use some of the ideas (which i hope my trusty fellow-players will come up with) later on for another special occasion or just to make your members even more happy Razz

i hope that some people will cooperate

maybe we can all donate 10 euro and send it to the admins and they can buy a better server with the money Laughing

Cuz the lag is killing me sometimes ecpesialy on the Monsterhunt server

If you want to make a nice birthday present then, when you feel like you lag, do a traceroute and send it to my e-mail. Only send when you can see odd things on the traceroute though (normal ping then high ping all of a suddent).

I'll then forward these to our bandwidth provider to show them how much they suck. Smile

It'll eventually lead to a better connection before we change the provider.

Assuming your'e using some variant of windows

Open a command prompt (start - run, and type cmd and press enter, (type command if win98)).

Then in the window that opens type...

tracert 195.95.38.181 "press enter"
(don't type the stuff in the quotes ("").

This will show you the "ping" statistics for every hop between you and the i4g insta server. replace the IP address with the relevant IP address of the server you are having problems with.

At the command prompt type...

tracert 195.95.38.181 > c:\i4gtracert.txt "press enter"

Then send the file c:\i4gtracert.txt to medic.

and use it as Medic discribes in the TroubleShooting thread "350+ :/"

I've used it to trace the hops and pings b4 because I had some really bad problems in Febuary here on the i4g servers...

erm, i still don't understand a word what you guys are saying. (btw; i'm using WinXP)

but this is not about the the traceout but about something we can do to improve the server even more and make it even more fun to play.

hmmm was away for a while...had a bling form my eyes on the i4games website and noticed to that its almost 3 years that we keep on shooting in the most wonderfull servers of UT

It sbeen disabled by administrator (me) to stop my bro messing with it and i kinda need it for traceroute.. lol
