Btw, when does the 2nd phase off the league start? A lot of teams haven't played against each other yet in the first phase. Do not know, if it's ever gonna happen... Surprised

Yep, thats true unfortunately.
Thats why I consider to give the league a fixed repertoire in the next round e.g. fixed oppenents on weekly basis where a team will have a whole week to negotiate the day of the war.
That will stop the "cherry-picking" which was noticeable so far.
The participating teams have to be reliable tho, thats what seems to be the biggest handicap :/
Also, from the 29 teams that have registered so far there are 17 teams benched cause of a lack of players, 1 never managed to play any challenge (team pro) also it is registered since the start and 1 has a banned leader (Immortal).

Furthermore I'm a bit disappointed over the spirit that some teams showed in wars they played.
I don't want to see people insulting others in wars. If someone thinks there is something to complain he can do that after the match at the war chan and in a respectful way also. Every team that registered for this league should be aware of the text at the top of the league-rules:

"RESPECT - has nearly the highest priority in this league. Since one reason for bringing this up was to get the i4-community closer together and to play real teambased games at a friendly level, to respect your oppenents and to take care of keeping the fun should be the main goal for everyone playing! Keep that in mind!"

I won't hesitate to remove teams from the league that repetitive fail to apply the league rules. I think that people which aren't able to show some self control & can't respect their oppenents shouldn't play in the community league either.

About the next round of the league:

I would recommend that teams that REALLY want to participate in a weekly-game based league should confirm their wish here so that I can setup a random repertoire on the base of these teams.
If we get enough reliable teams we then might start the new round at the january 15th or february 1st (there is still a dark horse tho: the time medic will port the server to the new i4games-isp) .

Merry-Christmas & a happy new year to you all! Wink

My 2 cents for the future:

Limit team creation. This can be done in 2 ways: a leader must be at least 18 and must have at least 2 other members to start a team.

(Warning, I'm gonna be rude:) This will avoid kids to make a team just for the sake of having a team and spamming everywhere to get members - even people they don't know about. Or worse: recruiting people that aren't aware of it.

i may be 13 but i do have the common sense for making a team.. i came up with ICC taking over SLO .. In the comunnity leahue many of the leaders there are under 18 (like me)
I have the sense to recruit people who are regulars like me and others.. also if the leaders had the power to delete people from their team that would be way better.. like right now i have a member who is in acttive beacuase he plays on a different game (gunz online,, which is shit) and For the third time i would not abuse those powers.. also not every single plaer oni4games can play every week.. like ATm when it is Chritsmas.. but i need more people who are Regulars and are able to play from my team.. but fronm the sounds of it i will not have a team in the new year only my team ICC whith the three other leader.. and also datolapo wants to leave TGu in the community league but sartrix cant becasuse HE DOES NOT HAVE THE POWERS!!
that would then give me 3 regulars and two more eople to make my team.. but do you mean this..

* The leader and members have to be over 18
* the leader has to be over 18 but member sdont ave to..

and that was pretty rude wat you said medic it does not affetned me but it mayoffend others.. that is my point proven..
thx

last time I checked datolopo was removed from the team you mentioned. He is now asking on a daily basis to get moved to your team in the war-chan on irc (without waiting for an reaction unfortunately, every time he asks, he signs of immediately .. )
So its your turn to add him I guess.

I fully second Medics suggestions since it turned out that lots of people registered a team just for the sake of it and don't show any interest in getting it complete.
The proper way to register a team should be to get at least 4 other members before.
A sign-up rule with a min of 3 members doesn't help much imo, since there are already teams which had 3 members right from the start (Enigma Zone Crew for example) and didn't add any new ones since that time Sad

My 2 cents...

Take on less teams (at least in the beginning), and give the teams a chance to expand thier players rosters, 8 players is just not enough for 5on5 weekly basis playing. There will always be alot of players that cannot play each week. I would suggest that a team should have a chance to build up thier teams to 10-12 players, that way it should be able to get 5 players each week to play matches.

Yup, I agree. If increasing the possible numbers of players per team helps to stabilise its reliability we should go for it.

And my 2 cents:

map list.

i guess that map list is there for teams to easier choose the map, and also train it. Also you don't have to download every map some want to play in war.
But I think it would be great to extend this list a bit. Mostly because some maps aren't so popular as they were when voting took place and because some maps are too small for 5on5. dday for example (4on4 is ok)
and btw, some may find difficult to find a proper map, with the map list as short as this one.

no offence Wink

Sarcasm is always helpfull.. The league has been 'open' since it's release. So if you want to play, you can. There's no season running though, so it's just to play for points (which will be erased when a season starts) or a friendly match (no points can be won).

The registration is closed now, and I will probably do some re-coding coming week.

I have already give my 2 cents on the war channel, but i'll do some reply here.

First to Gav about the leader age:
I'm used to play in clan since years, they are sometime young leaders able to manage a clan but most of the time the clan with a too young leader don't live long.
To be reliable, generally a clan need a core of reliable peoples in. Those people manage the clan and avoid most of the problem (like member behaviour...).

The number of members:
- I agree with Medic and Desperado when they suggest to create a clan with a mimimun number of players. Some years ago, we create a clan with 4 players at begin. This number of players already allow us to play wars ,make us know and by this way recruit more members. An inactive clan don't interest new members!
- I've also suggest to increase the number of members. Except if you have very very actives members, u generally need the double of members than you need players for a war. By this way you are almost sure you have enought players for wars.

To Bober:
- There is already a list of map for wars.
- Download maps from i4g servers isn't really a problem because the dl is always fast.
- I agree with you about the popularity of some maps, i suggest an yearly reevaluation of the map list for wars. But don't forget the initial map list come from a public pool on this forum.

Team reliability:
As i said on the war channel, the reliability of a team isn't necessary linked to his activity. A reliable team play most of the war where they make or accept a challenge.
This is sure that to enter in a league a minimum activity is required.
For me, a team who make/accept one challenge by week and play it is reliable.
A team who make/accept 20 challenges by week but only play 5, isn't reliable!
