Hi folks,

I have made a small pingtest tool to compare your ping results from the current I4games ISP & the future i4games ISP.
Here is a screenshot of it:

In order to run the tool you need to install the ".Net framework" which you can dowload clicking
this link (sorry but this program is for windows users only).

As that is installed you can download and run the pingtest tool

The outcome of the test can be posted back here.

as the "post results" button brings you to this forum topic, i had to create the tool after making the forum topic. You were simply to fast Kraken Razz

anyways... here are my results:

My ping result @ 30-11-2005 0:30:58. Running @ 85 Fps.
Current I4 games datacenter: 16 ms over 11 hops.
Future I4 games datacenter: 17 ms over 7 hops.

1 ms slower Sad

but 4 hops less Smile

My ping result @ 29/11/2005 23:51:59. Running @ 60 Fps.
Current I4 games datacenter: 41 ms over 17 hops.
Future I4 games datacenter: 46 ms over 14 hops.

little higher ms but a few less hops too Very Happy

My ping result @ 30.11.2005 00:43:31. Running @ 85 Fps.
Current I4 games datacenter: 73 ms over 10 hops.
Future I4 games datacenter: 68 ms over 7 hops.

hmm, weird. i get better pings if i ping myself... Laughing

icmp-ping to current i4games: ~65 ms average out of 10 Pings.
icmp-ping to future i4games: ~60 ms average out of 10 Pings.

ok, this tool sends 512 bytes. that should be more accurate than the "normal" ping.

nice job masterje, but throw this MS Visual Studio 2005 out the window please, it reveals more information you wished it to do Wink

btw, guido, i recommend you to change the location of "My Files" to a separate drive (at least partition) and not to keep it in documents and settings and youknowwhere... Saftey first! Rolling Eyes

Current I4 games datacenter: 27 ms over 12 hops.
Future I4 games datacenter: 27 ms over 11 hops.

Oh well looks like i need my ISP upgraded again. Well im gonna need if im gonna play UT 2007 online

I have also ran it a few other time aswell and it tells me that the new datacenter does go up and down quickly tho

or its just me
