I have something about respect too, i felt like to let you guys know this.
HOW TO
TREAT OTHERS WITH RESPECT
Treating people with respect makes your world a nicer place to live in, whether it's at home, at school, or out in your community. And it's easy - all you have to do is treat people the way you like to have them treat you. Here are a few ideas.
• Don't insult people or make fun of them.
• Listen to others when they speak.
• Value other people's opinions.
• Be considerate of people's likes and dislikes.
• Don't mock or tease people.
• Don't talk about people behind their backs.
• Be sensitive to other people's feelings.
• Don't pressure someone to do something he or she doesn't want to do.
We live in a diverse nation made up of many different cultures, languages, races, and backgrounds. That kind of variety can make all our lives a lot more fun and interesting, but only if we get along with each other. And to do that we have to respect each other. In addition to the list above, here are some ways we can respect people who are different from us.
• Try to learn something from the other person.
• Never stereotype people.
• Show interest and appreciation for other people's cultures and backgrounds.
• Don't go along with prejudices and racist attitudes.

omg shad.. your feminine side shows up now? 
still true, tho i don't respect all. coz i simply don't respect some cultures, religions and others wich i don't gone mention.

I guess we talk about 2 different ways of judging. What I mean is making an opinion, not judging by law or something like that.

you cant disrespect people coz they live on another culture, etc. they grown up in it just like us we grown up like this and we have our believes, you have to respect them the way they are.

how the h*** are you supposed to read that small text? I've seen many use it before,and i still cant read it. If you cant put it in normal size,then i say you don't have the guts to say what you want! (no offence Dan,was in general)
and respect? I believe nowadays waaaay to little respect is shown to your next.Just look at school and the harsh climate there,and some things the small kids say even makes my ears go warm. Respect? Noway.
Just a couple of years ago there was this kid,probably around 5-6 yrs old,shouting C*NT after me. i was like  and didnt even know what to say. I mean,when i was that old,i didnt even know the word.
I just believe in giving people you meet, a smile, you never know what it does for that particular person. Damn,im so nice!

I put text in small when it is either a joke or it isnt something that matters.

School's around here are crap for respect too, had the same thing with a 5 year old calling me a "F**king C**T" just out of the blue :/
All I say is wait till you get to college kiddy!
The college i'm currently in respect is something everyone gets, which i'm still not used to but its bloody nice!

I respect everyone as a person to start with, doesn't matter whether he or she 'respects me first'. Only his or her actions (you can't read thoughts afaik ) could change my mind about that. Whether someone is from a different culture doesn't matter either. A person is a person and deserves respect, unless he or she acts in a way that is very much against what I stand for and what I believe in. So it is not a matter of disrespecting cultures, but of disrespecting people because of their actions.
People often make the mistake of not respecting someone because they don't UNDERSTAND the other, because the other acts in a way that is not familiar to us. That means we should never respect people from other cultures that are not like ours?
In my humble opinion, people are losing trust in the people around them, making them defensive. When I walk on the street, I greet people I don't even know, I smile to people I don't even know. People ask me why. I ask them why not.
