Those classic beauties (beauty is still a lesser word for what it is) should not be harmed in any way by today's make-as-much-money-as-you-can-in-a-way-as-easily-possible barbarians !!!

* Besides that there is Aqua - Barbie Girl

Actually: take 80% of today's charts and you can fill em in this field.
The last 2 musical decennia suck big time!

Music has gone to it's lowest point possible imo.

Come on ... How can songs like

'Lief Klein Konijntje'
'blabla Kuikentje'
children songs like 'Schappie'
etc etc etc ...
be number 1 in the charts for ages??!!!
Is there really nothing better, nothing more satisfying to make than this? Or is it just the lack of ability??

Is there no one that wants to make music just to make him proud of what he achieved? No, only thing it has to do is make money.

Its from Kraftwerk - Fahrn, fahrn, fahrn auf der Autobahn aus 1974 and the time is about 35 min of 1 song Shocked

I mostly dislike pop songs that have been played to excess on the radio's... I still have a big dislike for Abba for that reason. (well, not only for that reason)

Imho, you can kill a feeling for a song, by playing it 24/7 for weeks, or even months. I have over 1800 LPs now... somewhere close to 1100 CD's... 300+ MC's... and all the music that I have collected on my PC... there's prolly 10% of what I have, which I wont even think on playing again.

But two songs that pops into my mind when I think it over are:

Murry Head - One Night In Bankok

And

R.E.M.- Shiney Happy People (I would go as far to say "I hate this song"

I do agree with mentor for the charts-stuff. Trance using classical theme is being very popular, coz its easy to make and to hide (by changing 2-3 steps in a melody you can make it sound new, which it is not). Thats why I don't like classics in trance that much (sounds fine anyway). Although I rape classical music too, using my guitar Smile
