Introducing the weekly rankings

ya so if there was a way in which you could modify the system to make players who don't get the opportunity to show off in terms of weekly points have a chance of getting a high rank, im sure it would be welcomed! but i need some ideas, so all please post your thoughts!
i thought maybe number of different maps captured in a week? same idea but allows rushers (lightning!) to do well too.
but don't get me wrong, the rankings are really nice, congrats medic!

this is a cool idea - i have not played at i4g for long but it already seems like there are some nifty features and improving all the time... with practice, i may get a symbol... or not! good work

5C0RP10, I think it makes sense that you need a minimum of weekly activity to be in the rankings. I can't unfortunately come up with a system where everyone gets a high place in the rankings. Wink

yes of course Smile

but i'm just saying that capturing maps over and over again combats the fun of getting a good time!

so if you only have to capture the map once to help your rank as much as you can in that map, you can then try to get the best time you can afterwards without losing out.

its just a suggestion anyway! loving the ranks Very Happy

Indeed, they are nice rankings, but now, some people are playing/capping the rating 1's or what ever, just to get high in rankings, but no doubt its a good ranking Smile

as I told Scorpio and Cobra on i4g server somedays ago... ppl only think about the oints now... I do like the ranking system but not how ppl take advantage of it and cap cap cap... maybe a ranking where the 1 who have capped the most maps get first place? and then 1 - 20 get a number in front of their name so u can see who capped the most maps on i4g servers Smile

The way BT rankings is calculated may be changed after this sunday's rankings. It should favour the variety of capped maps rather than the number of caps itself.

I love the new weekly rankings, it's a real great feature but, are the old, monthly rankings still online?

tbh, I love that old ranks to, because you can sort every part of that grid from for example who had the most caps per game average, etc.

stts are not directly accessible, but still there.
You can still search your name at the top of the webpage.

one more thing - are the BT points cumulative? if so it would be nearly impossible to catch up with cobra > Sad

the top few ranks would hardly ever change!

The rankings only take into account what happened between the 2 Sunday's. So if Cobra stops playing for a week for instance, he won't be in the rankings anymore next Sunday.
