In Your Opinion Are The Servers Dying!

Recently i4games is becomming like a ghost community, 4 days in a row ive come from work to oto the iCTf server and there is nobody in the CTF server and nobody in the BT server hardly. I rememeber 9 months ago this wasnt so and even more so 18months ago these servers would bge hard to get a spot inh them and there was lots of fun and competition with BT and CTF for play time etc

So i ask you guys and admins are the servers and site dying!-

It's a problem that all UT99 servers and communities are having atm, so it isnt just i4g. And its the same no matter which mod you play.

Maybe its the summertime hole that happens each year, only this year you notice it more because of people who play less to beginn with, spend even less time gaming.

Alot of people that were young kids when they started UT are now in collage, have jobs, started families, and in general have moved on to things more important to them than online gaming.

i am always very much active , at BT1 aswell BT -3 -4 .

just need 2 wait a bit till unbann =-/

i think i4g is dying yes .. i've no idea why , perhaps ppl are still at holiday? we will see what happend

I don't think their dying, but its quite not bussy on the servers atm, but I think also like Z thats because alot of people are still on vacation etc, it will come again I bet. Wink

like i said "the three hour map vote will be the death of i4g"

let say there r a few players,they want small maps
what happens when there arnt any "yeap" they leave
popular maps keeps ut alive,diamondsword who wants to play with only 3 or 4 players,not me

i think we should have the time limit turned of or reduced to 1 hour

and aswell the server keeps restarting games when ever it likes,one minute u r doing great the next...everyone loses connection so every player gets rearanged and the scores go back to 0

Well, I'm active now because of the holidays, but normally I can only play in the weekends. I used to have more time in the past bexause I had less homework. I go to 4th grade now, and everything will get more busy, so I might even have less time to play. I think this is the case for a lot of people. You shouldn't forget there are still new people joining, 20 last week, so it's definately not dead yet.

I always play on the CTF1 Server, But there has been hardly anyone who has been playing the past 2 weeks.. Theyre probs all on holiday Razz

1. we're in the middle of 1on1WC III. so the majority are following/admining/training/playing etc.

2. the servers are a bit screwed thes last couple months. even more so these past couple weeks.

im sure when those 2 things are over and done with everyone will come out from their hiding places. atm its not a good time to discuss this with a major cup going on imo.

I am always active, i would say the servers have been less popular due to the recent jump in the lag. As you noticed b4 when there is no lag people are much more likly 2 be on... I have played less and last week due 2 lag and im sure most of you also

well .. for the 3 years ive been here ... this is the worst i have seen i4g ... when i look at the servres on the website there are hardly any people playing on CTF theese days .. what happened to it when you had to book your spot on ctf just to get a game .. when you all had proper games that lasted at least 15 minutes on each game....

Even though its the holidays.. this time last year it was still very active ... so enough of this holiday bull... i4g is obv too quite theese days .. with ps3/360 in the way of online gaming ... Surprised

Fix the lag and that's pretty much problem solved. Sure, there might not be as many players as before, but more will come, and if the servers don't spike while they're playing on i4g for the first time they're likely to play again.

Anyway, the lag is just atm it will be fixed sooner or later, no need to start a vote right away, imho this topic can be closed. Wink

Yer, you keep closing every topic with concerns about the servers, but it's not helping is it? It's something that REALLY NEEDS to be fixed, there's so many players quitting / considering quitting i4g at the moment due to the lag.
