can't vote

I haven't been able to vote lately not even on BT3 which was why I was often on BT3 playing my maps (not really rushing to beat the server record), but just because BT2 I could NEVER vote, BT1 I could sometimes vote and BT3 I could always vote.

So what happens is....
I type say !vote or the map ends and brings up the vote screen, and just after all the maps have been loaded I get the disconnected (red ethernet {cat5} unplugged picture) on the middle right side. So in other words it says 0/807 maps on the vote screen and starts counting up until it says 807/807 maps loaded. Then before I can even scroll it locks up for a second and displays the disconnect icon. And almost 2 seconds later that icon disappears but then I still can't chat or vote or anything until I disconnect then reconnect. I am wondering if my computer is too slow or my internet too slow (ping of 240 on a good day) to meet the packet timeout limit.
Is there anyway to fix this or do I just have to ask someone else to vote for me?

The problem must be in ut.ini and user.ini
I myself once I had it, I removed those files and the problem disappeared.

So one other thing that I thought of....
I CAN vote on someone else's computer.
So I'm thinking one of two things.

1. My 1.66 Ghz with 2 gigs of ram is too slow.
(in which case I'll just have to ask other people to vote for me or play on other servers) or...

2. You use a different IP address for the vote screen and my firewall blocks it.
(so maybe you could PM me the difference in ports or whatever and I'll manually add exception in my firewall.)

To back you up Ozma, I have problems with voting as well. Voting usually works on BT1, but it almost never works on BT2. In my case the vote-menu works and loads all the maps. However, when I actually vote a map the vote-menu locks up and I can only move around in the map. Jumping and shooting is not possible anymore and I'm probably disconnected from the server.

I really want to vote....people are getting tired of me asking if they can vote for me and no one usually does anyway. I still haven't really got a chance to play my new map online, I haven't got to cap some of my old maps, It's annoying.

I just thought of something that might work though.
I use cachecleaner to dump maps that suck (or that I don't want to play) from my cache to save space and move from cache the files that I do want to play again. Unfortunately I also have ended up moving system files and such too.
Meaning that if some i4games scripts changed I might still have the old ones in my system folder.

So....
What files do player/clients load other than the maps/textures/etc. The names of the files and their extensions that a new player to i4games has to load before he/she can get on the server.

Then I will delete those files from my system folder (if they exist) and see if that works.

If the scripts have changed, then the newv version should have been downloaded to your cache automatically, so that should not be the problem...

however, If you really want to have a go at it, i believe you need to delete the NPLoader files in the system map, then when you enter the server it will ask you to re-download those.

k thanks, the problem I had was I ran cachecleaner (it rips all the files that have been downloaded to their proper folders). And I thought that because I moved the downloaded files (like no problemo loader) without looking at what was being moved I ended up messing things up.

I just deleted nexgen ace nploader mapvote bunnytrack btplus kickidlers any others that clients would download to cache that I should look for in my system folder?

Also now that I deleted nploader (I did that first) it did reload and everything looks great. The screenshots all work except krall-fortress now crashes UT to desktop when It tries to load the screenshot (mylevel is broken on that map so I had to put the screenshot in a different texture pack). I can't even click on mylevel in Ued for that map because it crashes.

Can you post a list of all the files that get uploaded to a new client so that I can delete them and try again?

Or does i4games use a different ip address (or port) for the mapvote and if so what is it so I can tell my firewall to not block it.

I can vote on my friends computer (because he is stupid enough to not run a firewall).
