Dark polygons

I have been experimenting with sunlight a bit in a map I am working on, but there seems to be a small problem. Some polygons, mainly trims, are not properly lit.
Here are two examples: (Note that I disabled zonelight for these screens so the difference is better visible)
It is not a very big problem as the darkness is compensated by zonelight, so I can live with it. However, I wondered if there might be some way to fix it.

I had a similar problem. two columns out of 6 were black (or really dark) when all the columns had the same texture and were in the same lighting.
I highlighted all faces and changed texture to something else and then back to what they were. That way the rebuild would have to reapply the lights to those faces. It might help.

Try with either High Shadow Detail or Bright Corners in the Surface Properties. Or try both.

I tried pretty much all surfaceflags without effect.
But I solved the problem already. I added a second light as specialLit and placed that one at a different position. Then I selected all dark surfaces and set specialLit on them. Works fine now.

I was doing like this aswell in many situations but I thought you already tried this way, " would be strange if Roel didn't know about it! " - I was thinking.
Sorry that i didn't suggest....
