  • The map must be finished
  • Use a correct map name
    No space or special character in the map name. Only use the a-z, A-Z, 0-9, -, _, ], [, {, }, | and _ characters.
  • Include the needed packages in your archive
Make sure you have all the texture, music, etc. packages included in your archive. The less needed packages, the better.
  • The game flow of the map must be good
You shouldn't get stuck anywhere, there should be enough paths and rooms. The map must have the appropriate size.
  • The lighting must be good
No global lighting only, the bases should have different colors, there shouldn't be any light without a visible source (except for daylights).
  • The textures must be good
We are in the 3rd millenium, so please make it look good (see lighting). The textures should be well chosen and must be well aligned.
  • Zones informations must be used
Use explicit names to describe your zones. They must be useful for the team play.
  • Fill in the map information properly
Specify a good player count as well as the map name.
  • Make a screenshot
You must make an embedded screenshot that illustrates well the map.
    How to add a screenshot?
  • Test your map!
Testing your map in local is not enough. You must also test it on a dedicated server. It doesn't have to be on the Internet, you can start a dedicated server on your own computer (UT Menu -> Multiplayer -> Start New Multiplayer Game -> Select your map and settings -> Dedicated, then launch UT again and connect to your server in the LAN Servers tab).
  • Use version numbers!
If you make a modification to your map, submit it with a different name or with a version number.
  • The map resources requirements must be as low as possible
The framerate must be good on middle-end systems. Also, the memory usage and the CPU usage of the map should not be higher than the official (and bonus packs) UT maps. A map that needs too much CPU power or memory will be removed from our servers.

The above rules are subject to change.

You can send your maps for reviewing to Roel or GhOsT.
