| I wasn't saying it was bad. Most new maps are fun to play... Atleast people are still making them.
I was only expressing that for someone with a mapping calibre such as barcode i expected more. He's made some bloody great maps.
I mean you can make a great rush map using white,black and grey plain textures.... Doesn't mean it's a great map overall.
and what i mean't by random blocks... Look at even the screenshot. It's a giant subtracted brush, with a cttt block set up around the outside of the subtracted brush.
but like i said this is my opinion. Not trying to berate him.
And im sure he will keep mapping, hope he does. |

I have no idea why giving me a " - " mark, since i told again that this map is very nice and I enjoyed playing it. Didn't say anything bad there ( I think? ) just pointed out certain things for Whitney and was defending AcademyTraining, but alright....

i just make map For my BTserver For begginer
but admin from i4games want i fix and send my map
and i try all the time to make something different
in ( BT-AcademyTraining ) i make no mover
Because more ez jump on brush with 140 ping but with 140 ping jump on mover is hard on my server for few far player
SO just be happy and relax
If You Dont like my map Just Dont play My Map
And i make Map For Novice player i like Help
Other To learn how To play Im like that!
And Im sorry If My Map Is Not Good Enougth

Well it's not a contest of doing better and better maps. At least he made a nice rushmaps and for the current meta of rushing, a new one like this is always welcome. I can swear if he wants to he could make much better map, but also note mapping is a very long process ( as you exacly know, your newest project took you 4 months to finish ) and when being extremely crazy about details ( hence trims, original shapes of decoration / architecture ) it can be a pain in the ass. Rebuilds can take enormous times, more bugs can occur, frustration can gets higher.
It is rly up to him or us - a mappers if we put a lot of hours on a simple map that will be played for maybe a few days then it will be stopped voting ( since as I told, now we are having rushing meta ), or create maybe two - three to better maintain a BT rushing spirit. I would rather pick 2nd option, so barcode did. Therefore we save some time, and they are being rushed for very long. My two newest maps confirm this.
Also most of players prefer to cap an easy map rather than getting nervous after having few mins on a timer, and reaching some deadly obstacle.
Or you're just pumping out bellow mediocre maps to beat CN in maps created. That's a nice personal goal. Doesn't seem worth it though when all maps seem the same. |
Not quite sure there bro, CN is pretty unbeatable with ammount of maps he released. But agreed, target is ambitious.
Quality wise there's no wall deco, very minimal trim, No ceiling deco. |

Ye true but in some rooms it has some other colors aswell. Flagroom and spawnroom are nicely lighted imo. But other factors recompensates poor lightning in the biggest room:
-Insanely great flow which means map is very nice to rush
-atmosphere he created was amazing as well as the music pick
-lots of nice animated decorations
-did I already mention it is nice to rush?
Barcode just surprised me how good map it is and that's why I gave him 10/10 mark. Deserved.
But that's just my opinion, i am in no way better, i've probably got 30 BT maps all ranging from 1/10 to 9/10ths finished and they will never be finished. |
Kinda pity some maps will be never finished by you. Not necessairly those with 9/10 mark. And yeah everyone can express his own opinion, so do I.

Not entirely sure if an AcademyTraining-I4G was rushed. Those animated textures on the walls could take a lot of time. Lots of importing custom stuff, testing it and finally placing in correct places throughout the map. Just as I said. You probalby wrote a post under wrong map.
PS: It could be certainly as you say, if we get a money for more ambitious maps. Unfortunately we don't. |

| nice map, the textures were pretty cool and no big annoyances. good use of tele to recover the first time you jump on a bouncer and dont know how it will behave |
