The basic principle of an obstacle is to give at least a little bit of difficulty. agree
The last two pictures are described as "annoying". Ok, so ? So less fun during playing map :<
Those one pixel jumps at the beginning are annoying and repetitive They're annoying because nobody likes spikes + You can skip 2 of them Razz
Jumping around a little later is repetitive in v2 they are less repetative, 8 jumps now only. Have u played -v2?
Those kickers make no sense, they are repetitive Those kickers made for relax after neverstopmoving in previous parts of map Very Happy
even if it may not look like it hm? Confused
Why so many shots at the end to get up ? Repetition. Only 4? Neutral P L Z
It's already a miracle I still want to make maps so ... Smile Idd, keep mapping ^^

It seems to me you are trying to justify yourself with nothing solid.
- If you say the first obstacle with the dodges is repetitive than I can find plenty in any map including yours.
The basic principle of an obstacle is to give at least a little bit of difficulty.
- The path over the void is maybe a bit long. True. <== YOU ARE RIGHT Smile
- The last two pictures are described as "annoying". Ok, so ?

This is not really serious, isn't it?
Look at your own map BT-Immediately.
It's like I would say:
- Those one pixel jumps at the beginning are annoying and repetitive
- Jumping around a little later is repetitive
- Those kickers make no sense, they are repetitive
- Why so many shots at the end to get up ? Repetition.
- ...

Please put a bit more thinking into it.

So here i go! Water maze is just too long. Nothing more here. Some obstacles are too repetative. Here are examples:

You have to repeat those dodges and it's funny because first dodge is a bit randomly.

It all means what is repetative obstacle... And you see CN in this room you used quake and sscoldsteel textures and this mix is just bad comparing to other designs.

I c i must learn more before other comments, though i thought i comment it ok. Water run is just dull for me anyway. nothing special ( perhaps for u ). And im not rusher btw Razz Key part is actually nice and i like it. Some obstacles are just too repetative - just my opinion. Some pillar jumps for example.... etc. I will be more precise with repetative things after i will explore map well. Mixing textures from different themes? Who cares? This is just a question of taste. Yeh, thought mapper's opinion are created for Map Comments... You don't talk about the clues. Did you really explore this map? Nah... Sad
Going to write more constructive cricism to this map soon!

The super long water part is ---in a way--- form of a repeated obstacle imo.

Thanks for the review.
If I may comment :
- Water part is part of the clues. It had to be long to work in my scenario.
As I often said, BT is not only for rushers. I really don't care when my design does not suit their nerves Smile
- You say "Some obstacles are too repetitive". Be more precise please because I am really surprised.
I take great care of not repeating obstacles. That's why I added keys in the big room.
Of course you can repeat them over and over if you fail everytime in the big room (which is not my fault).
- Mixing textures from different themes? Who cares? This is just a question of taste.
This map is not in the real world.
In fact I find it pretty cool to mix things like in Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody or Stephen King's Dark Tower.
- Music? This is just a question of taste too but ok if you like it Smile
- The architecture is very basic compared to Null's (for instance) but ok if you like it Smile
- You don't talk about the clues. Did you really explore this map?

Negatives:
- water part is mega annoying
- some obstacles are too repetative
- mixed quake theme with cold steel and i don't like this mix
Positives:
- music suits well to map
- rest obstacles are great
- very nice architecture and lights
- it's satysfying to cap. Very Happy

Fixed/Changed/Added in v3 :
- Incorrect mover direction (last button)
- Cosmetic changes in first lava room
- Cosmetic changes/lighting in secret room
- Changed the radius of moving teles to see if that get rids of unwanted view changing online (otherwise, it'll stay like that Smile ).
- Added triggers to all clues for better reading (shoot them)
- Added missing trustees pics + triggers to show nicknames (shoot them)
- Added keys at 3 floors of the big room so you don't have to redo the whole room from the start if you fail [MAIN ADDITION]
- Added a camera showing secret room door

Records are transferred.
