But like mapper made his incinerate zone, it looks nice. Even taptop made her maps with translucent lava and they still owns. And another argue: Look at your map Dere. You created non-translucent lava, but design, music and obstacles are annoying. So? ;> |

I cant remember if it is or not, but never make lava transparent I hate it when mappers do that!

Thats ofc ur oppinion but probs not true imo.
Because Null makes his maps look stunning and also rly nice to play with gd obstacles, he is a great mapper.
He has allot of talent, bcz srsly try starting up ued. I bet u cant even make a single cubic room without tutorials.
Then try following tutorials, it takes like 3 years to come to the point Null has reached. |

Well, it does to me because this is just practice for what i want to do as a career.
After I finished highschool i want to do "GameDesign" then ofc hoping getting a job at something like Ubisoft or Epic.
Probs aiming to high but everyone needs a dream!  |

| BT-RideTheMagicDonkey, BT-DarkPlaces_dbl --> those are the worst kind of luck dodges as possible.
The infamous luck dodge is putting at the end of the map, it is one luck try or u die, moreover it's total unbalancing the whole difficulty of those maps.
BTW they are unique so yep if in the same conditions (with a not too hard map) u put several luck dodges at the end, u win the prize :p |

For one the atmosphere just get's better in a well made map.
I don't think Null's map are spectaculairly fun or anything. but when i get bored i just look around and be stunned by the looks.
What i liked in this map was particularly the combination room button -> water -> button etc. etc.
Although don't overdo em . try to think pretty crazy.. make a combo of some of these; Timing, aiming, Bouncing, Jumping, dodging, liftjumping, perhaps gravity, pressure, fast water, or whatever comes up your mind

And learning to do timing for maps is just a matter of testing testing testing, till it fits you perfect. you will get better at guessing good times but youll have to check whether it suits you anyway. |

| You can be original, there's thousands of different obstacles that could be made using UEd and I'm willing to bet at least a quarter of those have never been made. Just try to think outside of the box, maybe think of existing, real life, obstacles and think of ways that you could make them in BT. |

| the main thing is both your maps look really nice. The obstacles aren't anything new really however I think it's more important you are taking time to make the map look nice. I hope you make more maps still keeping this quality but trying to use more intricate obstacles which maybe need learning or practise. This does often mean you need to look at timings in ued but i think this is what would make your maps better gj |

| Lel nice discussion.
But what i ment is that i rather like hard combinations of buttons then hard jumps hard dodges.
This is what i still need to learn about ued, the timings etc.
And i'll try to make some more diff maps.
But like BT-Duality is made for rush, and i did not made it rly easy so its easy to rush. |

| but there are truly dodges out there who are nothing about skills, hence the true definition of luck dodges
they are dreadfull and cause headaches :p
these 'luck dodges/obsticles' might cause your map to be voted more because it can't be capped at first try/skill, but don't think the map therefor is good or fun. It is dreadful
example of a skill dodge: ctf-bt-another, after the ball bouce part you need to dodge onto the pillars, this dodge requieres that you hold a back a bit to get some more hangtime. Once you get this feeling the dodge is pretty easy.
example of a luck dodge: flea-thebeginning: recent map where it started with a luck dodge, you never know whether it will take you 5min or just one try to pass it. Unless some do have found a certain skill to pass it flawlessly each time... |

That's exactly what I say.
With no skill, the definition of BT is "frustrating".
Acquire some skills and BT becomes enjoyable.
Acquire more skills and you will say "what luck dodge?".
Become a rusher and start all over again. |

| true lightning ! I like challenging maps, but not in the way that some mappers do. just put a extremely hard dodge be4 flag to make u die and redo the whole thing. I like maps that makes u think about different solutions to do it faster and improve your time and that includes alot of different sort of skills like shooting + dodging and then maybe time an open door or something. the idea of putting a "luckdodge" near the end or just an extremely long dodge that needs to be perfect, tbh that just ruins it and makes u never wanna do it again.
But this map is very nice imo ! easy but still a good variety of obstacles that many players can enjoy !
