I think I encountered more bugs than rooms... Seriously I have no idea what you do in UED to produce so many bugs in your maps.

Although I haven't finished this map (capped it) yet...
Mostly due to my computers dying and crappy equipment pieced together so it works.
(also why I havn't done any new maps lately either)
Several people said that they thought this map is rated 6.
So just in case people read this, and to avoid yet another unrated map, I think that 6 is accurate.
(although not a super hard 6 like cx-island)

fix is finished.
Couldn't get it to rebuild so blue still has bsp error just before outside part (probably due to the bsp error IN the outside part. But the outside bsp error does not crater you.
ALL those lift jumps are nicer. More natural (although still a delay).
Sound and music are both louder (although there are random hum sounds nowthough not sure why)
Kralls are easier/do less damage.
I hope at least that V2 will be much nicer for people to play.

Working on fix. Got everything fixed but can't get it to build right. Then 2 computers died and I'm fixing them. Soon V2....(I hope soon)

ok so I just played it online and now I know why people were trashing this map. Online it is a piece of crap.... nothing works right... it really was a good map when I was testing it. some things were very tricky and precise, the first mover block bugged just like it was supposed to (yes the idea was for the block to make the chains tight so you could stand on them), the stairs were always unfortunatly bugged (strange type of mover), the slow delayed lift blocks made it challenging to rush, and contrary to opinion the lights/textures/sounds/music created a good (if unfamliliar) atmosphere.

But online every thing is bugged and crappy even the first kicker doesnt kick like it was supposed to making that part stupid. And the music is insultingly silent, you can't even tell it actually goes with the ambient and mover sounds and sort of fits the level's theme. and the warp zone just before outside turns you around 90 degrees for no reason at all (also wasn't like that offline).

So now I totally understand why people said this map was totally awful. I agree, the map online is total shit. The map I made and tested was pretty good. If I can figure out how to make that map work the same as it did when I tested it, I think people will like it a bit more. Hopefully I will figure out what went wrong with the translation. Possibly a rating 7 (although an easy 7).

Just have a look at some "good" maps and add your "Ozma-style" to it, cause you HAVE some mapping skills, you only use it - in my sincere opinion - the wrong way. GL on your next one.

I will try... the screenshot didnt load because I put it in krallfortress.utx because mylevel was totally f**ked. I like arenas....sorry at least it gives the newbies something to do while they wait for the capped map to run out of time, and did you see that I made a new zone type for the arena? I see now that I like terrains, masked textures, etc (add other problematic thing here), but I need to use them better so that the fps isn't quite as big a drop, or other stupid errors don't occur. I will keep trying to make better and better maps for sure. I am still learning the ropes so to speak. But every comment even comments that are really critical make me think... how can I make a better map. Hopefully I will make a map everyone likes soon. I still got to fix the slightly broken but playable maps maps even lava tea party (I really need to release a version with a better water part) I wish me luck....

Ugh, I simply forgot about one thing, sigh!
As for arenas Ozma, I see 3 ways:
- Release them for DeathMatch / Capture The Flag gametype instead of placing them in BTs
- Make them SMALLER and NICER
- Don't build any arena.

Well, it probably is your best map. I played some of it. I did quite like the outdoor section where the Kralls shoot at you and the water restores your health. I also kinda liked the idea of the next bit inside, where you go through the grates that move up and down, and then onto a button/kicker. However, the way you have made it makes it hard to play. The terrain is too big, I get a polycount of around 1300, which causes quite poor FPS for me. The grates moving up and down inside are ALL masked, which again, causes problems. The "crates" you have made in the inside section have a trim on them which is to steep to stand on (i.e. a slope). Also, the stair/slope section is really not great.

Anyways. Could you possibly try and make a map without any of the following:

- Terrain
- Weird lighting effects
- More than 2-3 masked textures per room
- Translucent water/slime/lava

Please, please, please can you try?

Well I'm sorry you didn't like it...
but...
I'll just keep trying until I get a good map that people WILL like. Obviously I still got a way to go but I think this map is pretty good, at least better than all the others I have made so far. I'll try other DJ Sonik songs though, just because I have 24 albums worth of my own music. But I will make sure (I can't believe I forgot) that I normalize it next time so it's not quiet. And I will make the song fit the map better.

Ban me or no CN for this post, but I have to admit that it's pure shit map Ozma, even if you spent at it 2 months.
I can appreciate only terrain brushes which shows your amazing terrain skill ( But we already knew that in your older maps ) and one obstacle ( where upstairs goes from dodge slope even, if it is too repetative :S ). I don't see any point of writing what is bad in map because as I said before, except those two things, EVERYTHING is totally terrible. Poor lights, lack of interesting architecture and decorations, further - trims and details doesn't create wonderful atmosphere. Bad music pick and texture use aren't consistent with the rest. Most of obstacles are too repetative / BUGGED, so I haven't got any doubt after !cp run should I try to cap it or leave. I can't really give any advices for future maps for mappers like you, but I will try do it one more time....
- Check Raylen's, NuLL's, Roel's, Splashy's, taptop's or even if K'roll's maps and you will see what " great map " means.
- Don't create such a huge canyons because they takes ued over it's limits ( Though np here, I made the same with my 3 maps =D ) and causes low fps zones so map ain't smoth. Sad
- Spend more time on the layout
- Try to pick up UT's music which really suits to the map than completely quiet DJ Sonik's songs like in most of your maps :S
Not many tips but I think it's enough for your first NORMAL map Ozma. I won't tell you keep mapping untill I will see normal project from you, so I will tell you Good Luck!

damn....screenshot didnt work...I had to put it in the krallfortress.utx because mylevel was all jacked up. I am just happy this map works now. took me 2 months to get it working. I have no time to play it yet (it's 7 am here). Usually I can do things at this time but it is saturnday and I need to let people sleep. Leave me some comments, I want to see if people think my mapping is getting better.
