An insane catastrophe!!

Hello everyone!
I want to announce that my actual map I was working on has been corrupted. Why?
A few days ago I was downloading music and then I was converting it by youtube converter from ordinary page. Next, converting stopped immediately and some shit appeared. I tried everything but I couldn't remove this virus. So I decided to reinstall my system, which caused that I have lost everything, including my remake of CTF-Cybrosis][.
I want to enclose fact, that I've spent on this project pretty a lot ( my estimation stands at around 30 hours throughout 3 weeks ).
Now the question is should I try reconstruct what I have made ( which would hurt a lot ) or I shouldn't pay attention to this project anymore.
However I sent some screenshots about week ago to my friend so only those photos are recovered. Shoutout to ImageShack.us! \o/
In the end, I'm claiming with clarity that this event will be remembered as the worst ocassion in current year for me....

Imo work on it again, if you know what to do shouldn't take anywhere near as long.

I lost Legoism when I was renaming all the maps from BT- to CTF-BT, Must have accidently deleted it. I just started again, I understand you probably do not feel like it at the moment, but just do it Smile

ya I lost two maps so far to random computer crash or whatnot. I still haven't been able to even start recreating. But the truth is since I already did the maps I will be able to recreate them (especially since I also drew them out on paper before I started). I just got to get in the right mood again or something.

My advice is to forget this map for now. Keep thinking of it but don't map more than the first room. Just work on other maps until you can just rip out 10 hours of work on this one in a couple of hours. But don't give up on the map just give it up for now.

Something I've always done is to have 2 actual physical drives in my PC's, a small one purely for Windows / Programs etc and a 2nd much larger drive for all my data. I'd advise this if possible, or you could just backup files on a memory stick / CD...

for me I ususally back up all the work (and the finished map) once it's done on dvd-Rw but of course even doing that...the map wasn't finished so I would not have made backup of it. I hope you are able to remake it looks good so far.
