Maybe it's to do with the video renderer you use or running UT on a multi core processor.

First thing I would try is set UT to use only 1 core of the processor. I use a program called SetAffinityII which does this automatically, or you can do it manually every time you run UT by opening your task manager, right click the UT process and set affinity to a single core.

You could also try upgrading the renderer (but backup your current rendering files as well as your unrealtournament.ini and user.ini files first).

You can get some newer renderers here, as well as some setting you can try.

Hope this helps.

Imo, I don't think the set affinity always work. Oddly a shortcut to UT with that option added on seem to work sometimes too but not all the time? Well I'm not sure what's up but I used a UT.exe patch for dual core and it works.

The dual core patch can be found here: http://www.unrealkillers.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=36
And multi core: http://www.unrealkillers.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=37
