i4Games in second gear

...GL with the mag, you must know something all the other publishers don't, launching a mag for such a specialized community based around a 4 year old game. Maybe UT old timers DO buy gaming mags, when was the last time anyone here bought an internet or video-game magazine?? Honestly?
Would it possibly make sense to launch the mag online first?
Guage interest, have sample articles, get subscriptions, increase community input. Once people see the articles / style of intellectual content etc, they may say: yeah I wanna advertise my product in there...Just a thought....

the magazine industry (in the UK at least) is under a lot of pressure ATM, Future publishing (graphic design / video games / computers mags etc)is perhaps 30 - 40% of the size it was 4 years ago..

We won't limit ourselves to UT. That's not because i4Games started with some UT servers that it'll stay that way forever. I plan to set up BF 1942 servers as well as UT 2004 servers when it's out. (XIII looks good also.)

We know it is very hard to have a place in the mags market nowadays, but we are very confident about the concept and content. To my knowledge there are none (or just a few) mags that focus on the community (players, clans, results, etc.).

And we have some good contacts to make the promotion of the mag so far. Cool

I DO hope it works, if there are any english pages in the mag I'll buy a copy and give my support.

The server you have set-up is the best I've seen in Europe, or the south pacific for that matter, so if thats anything to go by Smile

I also was going to comment a few weeks ago on the quality and style of this sites design. Very slick.
