350+ :/

Can anyone tell me whats up with the i4g servers??? I've had a 350+ ping now for almost a whole week... It really sux when I want to play off my daily aggressions, and have to take them out on my wife and cat coz I cant play on the servers Confused

Can an Admin tell me if its comming from the server side, my side, or if its lost inbetween here and there?

There are major problems with our bandwidth provider, Scarlet.

We plan to change provider as soon as possible (in several months).

The only thing I can do is provide Scarlet with evidences of network failures/problems. You can help me doing so by doing traceroutes to our IPs at the time you're experiencing problems.

You can send me the results (with the time it's been done) and I'll forward that to Scarlet.

You can use Sam Spade to do the traceroutes. Type the IP if the field, click on "Trace" and when done, File -> Save As and send me the file. Smile

Sent you the trace from this morning, but the ping was lower than usual(150+), got another trace and ping list from this afternoon... the ping was alot higher then (350+). If you want that trace too then just let me know and I will send it asap too.

Thanks for the trace Z-ROX, but the problem seems to be on your side. It shows fluctuating ping already at your first hops.

yeah... I noticed that too. But the jumps in the mid routing didnt look all that good eather... but then again... I don't know sh!t about all this stuff... Rolling Eyes

You think I should contact my provider and ask them whats wrong? It would be nice to play on the i4g servers again... but if my ping stays this way, then I have no other choice than to play elsewhere atm Confused

Funny... all the other servers that I play on have the same ping as before. Its just the i4g servers that have that high ping rate.

If you have any advice I'll be glad to hear it Wink

buy a new computer ROX (like gizmo)
or move to Belgium Laughing

or try some software like TweakMASTER in order to adjust yer parameters Cool

my para's are great... and now the ping is down again... one of the hop servers had a really bad ping... but it looks like things are fixed now Cool

Z-Rox mate, where are you from? In the UK, Energis were replacing a server in the UK and my ping was at 800 for 2 days. Maybe it's happening to you mate.
