Just a suggestion:
Current votemenu needs a lot of scrolling to find a suited map.
Point that might need some improvement is getting the old votemenu back online.
Previous votemenu was with 4 large columns giving the maplist in alphabetical order.
Also easier to use by the user. The current one is too small window imo.
Suggestion:
Make a larger votemnu with 3 columns.
1. New maps
2. Most popular maps (easier to vote when you always vote for the same map)
3. Alphabetical order of maps.
Today we see that moonrun, frequency, greek thorns are most played maps. Coincidence? They are the first three maps of the vote list.
What do you think?

That is partly true.
Many iCTF players are conservative and just want to play the same maps over and over.
Making a column with new maps is useless since they are advertised on the forum (and we want ppl to look at the forum).
Most popular maps would be a subject of discussion for some of them.
We are planning to make our own specific mapvote some day.
There will be more features than the actual one.
Just wait and see

does anyone here think it gets boring after a while once you start playing the smae map over and over again.. i like playing the newiest maps or maps like beautidie which is hardly voted but an excellent map ! also every map that is voted most often are either points galore or ultra small ( unless accelerater) other maps like spack pirates are good but oo big but people started to vote for small ones when there was enough people for a certian map! so i find its boring same map again and again !!
good idea mentor but some of it is bad like most popular !!

I'd say get rid of the lag and DM maps.... Then they wont get voted... Bye w00t, Bye moonrun, bye greekthorns...

most of time the vote time is over when i finally found the map i want to vote, so yes its a good idea

my problem exactly.
Once I see a map that is being voted too much, I want to vote the runner-up, just to get that one, resulting in stress and not finding it in time to boycot the vote.

LoL, i just got a picture in my head where Mentor is visiting the doctor with "mapvote stress" symptoms 
As coulle said "Medic" can help making a new mapvote .
I guess we got to wait & see if it adresses the above issues.

Didn't the old map vote system disallow you from playing the same maps within a certain time. 
TBH i haven't played much ut here, but it seems to be the same old few maps or so that keep getting played, since the system was changed 
Bring the old map vote back, and i'll be a happy chappy.

Yeah, that's a good idea. The old mapvote was great. You could see all the maps and you had to play 20-30 different maps before you could play the same maps again. That would be great if that's still possible.

Its pretty much like sheep, one does something, the other follow. Someone votes a map, all they have to do is click the voted map in the map vote box and click vote to get their vote added.
