no probs with donating, its only a euro which is a minimal amount these days, also why should medic keep laying on a free service hes been doing so for years and i don't think he would of brought the donations system in unless he had too, at least this way we can insure the security of i4games and supply a better service as medic will able to spend more time improving knowing hes not falking out of is own pocket all the time. Im sure those under aged players would surley be able to get a euro of there parents, i don't think its alot to ask for. I would like to see a list of donators for other players to see whos donated this may encourage more ppl to donate, what do you think medic? besides alot of newer games come with subscrptions anyways and asking a damn sight more so whats the big deal, i think it fair:)

Personaly i think it would have the opposite effect , may start people arguing saying "ive dontate - you have got to " etc .

As Medic has said donations are not compulsary and its up to the individual if hes/he want to donate .

I agree with Rainbow there. If you give indications of who donated and maybe even how much it could start unneccesary arguements. The donations should not be used to make known how cool you are for donating.

agree with VTe.
Let's all just be a little understanding, each in his/her own way.

Let us all decide for ourselves what we can miss for this service. And for the younger ones. I think it isn't about the euro, think it's more about the way to get it to us safe Smile

Anyway ... /me feels the urge to make a huge donation myself Smile

Such a list does not have to contain any names. Just a number of donations and how much it made. That'd be interesting at all, without knowing who donated and who did not. Smile

Maybe that's an option. But let's say that the list contains the last 10 donations, and all those donations are above 10 euros/pounds/whatever. You could be sitting there with your donation of one euro and feel like your euro won't make a difference. I think it's better to not show who donated. That way no-one feels lesser than the person that donated 10 euros/pounds/whatever. Of course it's a money thing, but it's also about feeling good about yourself if you decided to donate some.

He said both: he wonders if he can play without pay, and Mentor told him that he can Smile So he is right Wink

@Vitae
Ok, thats a good point. Didn't think about that one.

i think you have a point, but maybe if you just have the donators names or nicks not the amount that theyve donated, the amount what ppl have donated should be kept secret anyways also, just a thought!!

maybe just put the total amount of donations.
Would be easy to put yourself in the whole.
Not show specific information about the amount of the last donations.

Maybe just: we received x euro (optional: out of y donations)

@ postie: I think anyhow that putting names is not good. Will eventually lead to discussion. If you donate, just feel good about yourself that you help contributing to something wonderful

Well, when the mobile donation system comes in, I might donate a euro. (Since texting to over countries will cost me more since I live in the UK). But anyway, 1 Euro = Less than £1 = 10 hours of play. I'd say its a pretty good deal. Think of Arcade Machines, There about £1 to get one LIFE on most games. As soon as your killed. Game over, please insert another coin. Plus each game lasts about what? 2 minutes. But with i4games your getting 15 Hours free playtime per WEEK. Plus if you want, you can donate about what? 80 pence to get another ten hours. Which I think is a pretty good deal for donaters. Cause you can access these servers ANYTIME. Theres hardly any crashs or downtime. I think its about time to give something back to the servers, with all the great games, and service Medic and crew have given us.

nice thought.
However, it's not the main concern to 'pay' just for the extra hours you play. It's to keep the community alive.

It's about free donations. It's not that if I don't reach the 15 hours, I don't pay.
I'll donate anyhow, just to keep the service possible.

Yeah,
I've just got another question to ask:
Does our points ever expire if we don't use them? Or can we build them up?
