A new feature is available to donors: slot booking!

The concept is simple: you can reserve a slot (by spending some points) on an i4Games server at a given time to guarantee you some free place to play.
Select the server, at what time you want to play, and that's it!

This is useful if you really want to play after a hard day at work or school.

will somebody be randomly kicked, or something...

The system will make sure the server is not full during the period of your booking.

There can only be 2 slots booked at the same time for the moment. Maybe more in the future.

hmm ive got a good idea.. might not work for some "spam" maps though

Have 14 spaces at times where the server is not booked ..

and when 1 space is booked at that time have 16 spaces etc..

at the end, to pay to play will still be an option.. but you ll be unable to play if you don't. still an option? but i understand..

Nice idea but I see some problems arising with this.

1. One person makes bookings every day for the next 4 weeks, maybe even at different times of the same day (I'm not sure how many bookings one person can make per day or per week tho).

2. People don't turn up to play when they have made a booking.

By the way, are reservations only accepted from donating players or anyone?

I think its their own problem if they don't turn up to play seeing you lose 3 points + your slot erases after 30 min, that means that after 30 mins the slot is free again and another person can just connect Wink

I personally think there should be 16 spaces on the server, 2 for reserveations. So max 14 players non-reserveation, 2 players who have reserved.

Also it seems to be a pay-to-use feature.

As long as i4games don't overuse it, Then it doesn't seem your donating to the website anymore. Its more like your paying to use features. If this happens, your better off renaming donate to unlock features.

Its just about as annoying as pop-up adverts.

Yes, idd, we are all evil and demand money from ppl to increase our life qualities, cause we don't use the money to pay the servers but to buy cars, beer and women. Its all because of our greed for money Rolling Eyes

I think the server should hold 14/14 and the ppl that book get a password and if the server is full they type a password in and the player with the lowest score as to leave.
