i4g used to have a LG server for a few months... didnt get much traffic on it. I loved playing on it tho, on alot of LG maps I reaaly get some ownage capping.
But Caves as a LG map is a bad idea... not enough space on it to really use LG to a players/teams advantage.
Diamond plays pretty much the same as Face in LG, only you can use the hideouts as FC more effectively imo.
Bedrooms OK as a LG map as well, only one problem tho... it has a bug in it that when the flag is lost anywhere up high, then its lost for good and doesnt return to its base making it impossable for anyone to cap for the remainder of the gametime.
Good LG maps should be open and fairly large to have good gameplay on them... here a few more maps that fit in well to a LG type of teamplay and map overall gameplay...
Coconuts, Warlords, AlexiasPlayhouse, LegoPlayground, AnthonyBs1Day, and Frequency are good examples of a normal map that could be also made into a good LG map as well.

i think that diamondsword could be interesting with LG, but caves i think wouldn't be that fun, if anything more frustrating not being able to get around, getting held up infront of stuff, etc.

Diamond Sword is prob my favorite map .
I also like L/G .
I have tried Diamond Sword L/G , it had some good points and some bad points .
Good points:-
Better for FC to escape as it allows FC to move from place to place that is not posible normal grav
i:e
jump from the roof to solar panel , from solar panel to high etc , faster paced game .
Bad points:-
If you get boosted with the flag when low it is very easy to be boosted of the end because the boost has more impact than normal grav ( even more with the boost relic ), even if you are not boosted you could dodge over the edge when low.
It is posible to jump into the grid without boots with L/G thus eliminating a hiding place for the FC and render the boots usless .
Moveing around in base could become annoying if you dodge a lot and keep going past where you want to go , dodging skill comes into it here but im just pointing it out for people with lesser dodging skills like me
My opinion is that is it should be left as it is .

good post rainbow, but surely an adaptation map could be made for DS, with L/G, just like face & face L/G? would be the best choice, imo.

i don't agree with the " it eliminates a spot where the FC can hide " sentence. you can still hide there. but in stead of sitting there 2 or 3 minutes MINIMUM without seeing an enemy get in your hiding place you'll get everyone entering it. thus making it difficult to keep the flag. i'd rather have such a situation than one where boots spawn every 30 secs... and one lamer who's ocvering it camps on it and always grabs em. therefor for these situations i find lowgrav super.
as for the dodging stuff... when you dodge in a lowgrav map yer actually a supereasy target. so the key is to only strafe and be a hard target. i'd rather have someone who dodges 100 times on a lg map to avoid me than a person who onkly strafes :\

i don't see how someone covering FC can be laming , it is annoying when more than 1 of other team is doing it but it is teamwork ( cover your FC ), the more emy trying to cover the FC the less trying to recover there own flag which is more important IMO.
Anyway take out the cover then go for FC .
It is possible to kill FC in the grid without jumping in there if you know how

the chances of you killing an EFC in the thingy above the flag without boots or a boost must be around 1/16541861561000000000. " if you know how ". no it's not about " if you know how " it's about " if you get lucky enough and do smt you can only do once in a lifetime". if peopel are covering the EFC in there, and you need to do what you suggest in a movement without getting shot... that's jus tplain impossible.
and yes it might be awesomely fun for you to sit in that place for 10 mins without getting fragged... but it's rather boring for most of the players tbh. hence why diamondsword is only played much on i4g. ( and yes in america but they also play turbo igib so they don't count as UT'ers uimo :E )

If you sit in the grid with flag ill kill you every time given a chance to take a shot after cover has been killed.
Its not something you need to be lucky enough to do once in a lifetime
Personly i very realy hide in there with the flag .

That only goes for players that are stupid enough to stand still when attackers are below them... even up in that (partly) protected area, I keep on the move when enemy are near

But sometimes the FC can not see below them good because of sheet bug that makes players inivisble between the sheet.
