hehe, ye melodeath rocks imo. listen to Raunchy f. e.
my all time fav band is "4LYN" imo, they play a mix between metal, screamo and somekind of emo too. just ace

Nu Metal is probably the shittiest genre within Metal. :f
Some Heavy Metal can be good, there's not much though. 3 Inches of Blood is basically Heavy Power Metal and basically the only Heavyish metal I like. (Oh yeah, Manowar is damn nice too)
Other than that I basically only go for Melodic Death/Black. Viking/Folk metal is pretty sweet too (mostly).
As for Thrash Metal.. Slayer is so glop glop, Destruction are not too bad either.

imo 4LYN isnt nu-metal, listen to them and you'll know if you listen to it. (check out songs like "No. 11" if you search for it somewhere "
