Pinkpop was great this year, but very hot aswel. My sister and i arrived friday around 13.30 cet in Landgraaf on a private camping. We decided not to stay at a festival camping as it started to suck quite bad. Every morning we woke up with birdsounds so it couldnt be better + good shower facilities woohooo!
This year i watched:
Incubus
Alterbridge
Metallica
Air traffic
KT Tunstall
Stereophonics
Kaiser Chiefs
The Verve
Foo Fighters
Gavin Degraw
Racoon
Alanis Morrisette
Counting Crows (so frigging boring)
My personal top 5 is:
Foo Fighters/ Gavin Degraw/Stereophonics/KT Tunstall/Incubus
As real experienced rockchicks my sister and i first went to Incubus, one of my personal favorites. We stood pretty good and had a good view on the stage. After the concert we went to Alterbridge and relaxed on the grass. After Alterbridge we found a nice spot on the field to watch Metallica, we decided not to stand in the crowd (moshpits etc) there where like 60.000 people standing there, so hmmm.....
Back on the camping i met a friend of rYs clan, Godscreation, who's not living to far away from the place we were staying, so that was fun.
The next day was probably the best festivalday ever! Foo Fighters would end the night. First we went to Air traffic, and then we had a great view on KT Tunstall performing, before that concert i noticed a girl in front of me and i was thinking hé! i know her. so i said Hi to Lostprophet who was also there. After KT Tunstall we went to the other stage where Stereophonics performed it was the third time i would see them, but it was so great. Then we took a seat somewhere and watched: Kaiser Chiefs. Then we went back to the field and had the possibility to see 'The Verve' wauwww it was so great also one of my favorites ... After a great ending with 'Bitter sweet symphony' we headed back to mainstage to witness the greatest rockband (imo) Foo Fighters ,aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i love them and they were so good. My neck still hurts from the headbanging to 'Break out' ^^ it's worth the pain though. I just love Dave Grohl, he has so much charisma, even though he's an ugly hoff who reminds me of Animal of the Muppets ^^.... the interaction between Dave and Taylor is a great thing to see. Taylor is an amazing drummer and he totally showed it during the concert. They played for about 1.5 hour which was half an hour longer as planned <3. Fully satisfied we went back to the camping.
The last day we burned out of our tents, it was so frigging hot already (but it would get even hotter!) First concert we saw was Gavin Degraw (what's not to love about him)! At one point he jumped of the stage and walked right passed us Woohooo, what a thrill! , my day was perfect already <3 my sister and i surely will go to his concert in november (amsterdam HMH). After Gavin we took a seat on the grass and had some ridiculously expencive food while listening to dutch band Racoon.... After Racoon we found a nice spot at the fences (ringposition) to watch Alanis, it was a nice concert but her clothing really revealed her fatness/pregnancy .... as a last concert to view we went to Counting Crows (which sucked so we left earlier).
Rage Against The Machine would end the festival, but it was just not really our type of music + the weather being like 37 degrees was not really motivating us to stay aswel ... We had a taxi back to our camping and ended this years festival experience with some nice rosé beer ...
\o/
My sister is trying to arrange work for us both on Lowlands another big festival in NL (big chance we will be standing there woohooo)

Yeah pinkpop was just amazing! I also went for 3 days, but didn't stay on the camping. So I had to travel 2 hours every day, but it was more than worth it !
The bands I saw:
- Metallica ( pretty much far standing in front)
- Incubus
- Alter Bridge ( also somewhere in the front)
- Flogging Molly
- Animal Alpha (front again XD )
-Foo Fighters ( completely in the front with all the mosh- and trashpits xD)
_ Kaiser Chiefs ( same as foo fighters)
- Editors ( same as kaiser chiefs)
- KT Tunstall ( same as the editors)
- Bad Religion ( somewhere in the middle)
- Air Traffic
- Blood red shoes (pretty far in the front, but only stayed there for like 10 minutes)
- Rage Against The Machine
- Queens of the stone age ( pretty far in front)
- Alanis Morisette
- Racoon
- Gavin Degraw
- Counting Crows
- The Hives ( somewhere on the right)
I don't really have a special day that I think was the best, I loved animal alpha, metallica, kaiser chiefs, foo fighters, rage against the machine, the hives, queens of the stone age.
And I agree with you on the Foo Fighters =]
I just heard he had the flu during their performance 0_o
I had a big headache from headbanging, my feet and knees hurted sooooo bad from that moshpit xD * and my back from the trashpit ¬¬ *
On the sunday the first 2 or 3 hours we were just somewhere in the middel laying and sitting down chilling on the grass, we were all so tired xD
But I had an awsome time, and next year I'm staing 3 days again and on cmaping this time! =D
it was all awsome except the train back home on sunday.
