LAN trouble

I have XP on my computer and a LAN. My friend and I like to play together on i4 but we get trouble with high ping and lag. Sad

Does anyone knows how to solve this?? Very Happy

Reduce your netspeed. In the network settings of UT, try to set it as "ISDN" or even "Modem".

i usually use netspeed of 10000 , u can do this manually by opening UT's console and typing netspeed 10000 , simple eh ?
try a few diff ones for each computer till u get the best 1 for u.
also make sure either comp aint got an active proggy accessing the net while your playing , virus programs etc ... u prolly know this already but worth checking anyway
