|

Hello everyone,
Many people of this community knows me, and many of you known how much i was addicted to BT,
For those who ignores who i am : i was a BT player who was playing an average of 40 hours/week and could reach up to 90 hours/week, a week is composed of 168 hours,
That was just some details, now read what follows :
When i was addicted on pc i was between 12 and 18,5 years old, today i'm soon 20 (i know, seeing my picture can make you doubt about that) and for me, social life wasn't really existing...
I could play all the day, until the fact that being exhausted always finished to lead me to bed, but in the day, i plaid like 15 or 16h... and didn't do anything else
Being no-life i'll say it again, is really hazardous, here's a list of thing that can happen without making you realize anything :
- You don't take time to eat with your family
- First thing you do when you wake up is jumping on PC and forget that breakfast is very important for your health...
- You will find any excuse to don't go and hang out to see some friends
- You will be very unkind to your parents
- You will spend like 120 hours/weeks in front of your computer and the rest of the time sleeping
- If you have a girlfriend, (or a boyfriend), you will think in your head that computer is way more important.
And here are the consequence, and still you don't see anything or you deny it :
- You might take some weight, and feel bad in your body,
- You will never eat at the same hour
- You will finish totally alone without friends
- You won't have any conversation with your parents, and believe me, you don't accept it right now because you live with them, but 5 years later, you will realise that you miss them...
- You won't have any good results in class room, (an example, in france marks goes to 0/20 to 20/20, when i was no life, my results were like 9.5/20 and now they are like 14.5/20
- And finally, i think it's the worst think that can happen : say goodbye to your beloved girl/boyfriend.
Why i write all of this ? because i know what is a real no-life, i was one and i don't deny it
Think about all i said, now, if you want to come back on earth, you can still PM me, i can still give some advice to get out of no-lifism.
Bye,
Vince

agreed, i have periods where i seem to be stuck to my PC, although most of that time is in the miserable days of winter, where the prospect of going out into the icy wind and horribly cold rain doesn't attract me.
However summer weather is upon us (being those that actually have it) and I won't be on the PC much at all, gonna get out there and enjoy the sun. Perfect beer garden and bbq weather if there ever was some.

I was totally you 3 years ago. I also had all of those "symtoms".
Then I got bullied and it changed my life completely.
However I eventually came out good. I did have 2 pathetic years which I regret very much.
Really nice post

BTW - Because it happened to you the way you play, doesnt it mean it will for others.
There can be million of things different

Don't really get what you're saying.. what do you mean? The consequences can be so much different, or the numerous ways of messing up your life? :f
